DeBeque, Colorado is located about 25 miles northeast of Grand Junction in Mesa County, and is a small ranching community nestled between stately buttes, mesas, desert plateaus, and mountains. While Mesa County retains much of its ranching and farming heritage, DeBeque is rapidly emerging as a key residential, office, and commercial center. DeBeque?s central location to Powderhorn Ski Area just 13 miles south, Aspen and Vail just an hour and a half east, and Glenwood Springs 45 minutes east, makes this undeveloped valley a natural for well planned, preservation-oriented growth to meet burgeoning demand in the key Piceance Energy Basin.

?Home to the ongoing rapidly expanding natural gas boom and the forecasted oil shale boom, DeBeque sits ideally at the epicenter of the Piceance Energy Basin. According to President Obama, natural gas is one of the primary energies of the future and is also the cornerstone of T. Boone Pickens? national plan. Energy companies have invested hundreds of billions of dollars in gas pipelines from immediately around DeBeque to Denver and Chicago.
