How to Help Your Favorite Vail Valley Restaurants from the comfort of your home.

It was heartbreaking to many of us when the restaurants in the Vail Valley closed their doors to diners. It was heartbreaking, but a necessary step to help flatten the curve of the COVID-19 coronavirus that is sweeping over our world. The Valley’s dining experiences are part of the reason so many people visit this town, and why so many locals love living here. The closures are already having a negative economic effect but there are some great ways you can help today!

Order Take-Out

Ordering take-out is probably the easiest way to support your favorite restaurants – many of which are offering this service for the first time ever. Hovey and Harrison has just started offering a small selection of pre-made meals, essentials and alcohol in attempt to offer a small ease during this difficult time. From Turkey Pot Pies to a selection of their delicious cookies, it is an easy way to support them over the next few weeks.

Buy a Gift Card

When you purchase a gift card it helps your favorite restaurants immediately and when this is over and we can enjoy dining out again you have a planned night out on the town! Mountain Standard, one of our favorites in the Village, offers easy gift card purchases on their site.

Donate to a Staff Fund

Many restaurants around the country have started GoFundMe pages for their workers as they have been forced to let them go since the shutdown. We love Northside Kitchen and its sister restaurants, Pavalici’s Pizza and Benderz Burgers, and since the closure has temporarily laid off 104 of its workers they have set up a GoFundMe page where you can help support them with their housing costs.

Now more than ever it is important we support each other and our community. Although we may not be able to see the faces of the people we help, there is sure to be a smile at the other end of one of these purchases or gifts. We will not only survive through this but we will thrive together as a Valley again very soon!

Home away from home at The Inn at Riverwalk!

If you haven’t gotten the opportunity to stay at the newly renovated Inn at Riverwalk you are missing out! Nestled between the mountains and river in downtown Edwards, the Inn at Riverwalk is my go to hotel for a weekend getaway or inviting family in town!

Tastefully renovated from top to bottom, with a cozy mountain modern feel. It was so relaxing sitting in the hot tub as you hear the river running past! The lobby is warm and inviting, we cozied up next to the fireplace drinking mocha from the espresso machine and snacking on their DIY trail mix bar.

There is something for everyone in the family to do with its prime Riverwalk location. Shopping and dining, ski shuttle to Beaver Creek and Arrowhead, along with free snowshoes and sleds for the kids. Even bikes to take out in the summertime!

It felt like home away from home, and reasonably priced which is hard to come by in the valley! Looking to buy/sell a home in the area? I would love to go over your options with you! I can be reached at (720) 275-3186 or RealEstatewithHope@gmail.com!

Where to Apres in Vail, Colorado!

Are you looking for a new place to Apres?

Stop by Almresi Vail at the top of Bridge Street and have a Feuerzangenbowle-a traditional German drink for which a rum-soaked sugarloaf is set of fire and the sugar drips into spicy hot wine. The anticipation was building as the sugar drippes into the wine. It tasted amazing and didn’t last long.

It was hard to choose what to have next…Jagertee, Snowstorm Cafe, Schumlil-Pflumli or a schnapps. Stop by then let me know your favorite!

Love this place!

Dogma Athletica in The Riverwalk at Edwards has teamed up with the Shaw Center to promote health and awareness and to give back to the community. Dogma is sponsoring a yoga challenge, encouraging yogis to stretch, sweat and decompress — not only to benefit their own well being, but to give back to those in need. For each yoga class attended, Dogma will donate 50 cents to the Shaw Center. The more classes attended, the more Dogma will donate. In the spirit of healthy competition, Dogma will be tracking how many classes each yogi attends, and the yogis who attend the most classes in the month of October will win prizes. Cordillera Colorado Summer Hiking Trails and Timberhearth Grille

THE RANCH at CORDILLERA, Edwards Colorado

The Ranch at Cordillera is chock full of wonderful options for hiking.? There are wonderful little trails all nestled in throughout the property maintained by the Cordillera Metropolitan district.? These folks do an outstanding job of maintaining these trails in the summer and winter alike.

After your hike you can go and take a hot-tub at the Summit Athletic Club, the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera, or the Trailside pool.?

Timberhearth Grille is open in the Summer for lunch and dinner.? It is a great way to go relax, have a glass of wine on the patio and enjoy the ponds and streams of the Mountain Course in Cordillera.? It is a spectacular setting for weddings or events.? I personally like to sit and relax alone when I can at the Timberhearth Grille.? It is a great place to re-charge.
