    Vail Mountain received 10 inches of snow last night and Beaver Creek received 8 inches.? With all the recent snow this week Vail Mountain will open more than 2,500 acres of terrain Saturday. ?Blue Sky Basin, parts of China Bowl, Sun Up and Sun Down Bowls will be?some of the terrain scheduled to open.? The new, high speed Chair 10 will be among the lifts that will be open, with a ribbon-cutting at 9:15 am.? Other lifts that will open Saturday include:? High Noon Lift (Chair 5), the Riva Bahn Express Lift (Chair 6), the Highline Express Lift (Chair 14), the Cascade Lift (Chair 20), the Orient Express Lift (Chair 21), the Teacup Express Lift (Chair 36), the Skyline Express Lift (Chair 37) and Pete’s Express Lift (Chair 39).

    The Wildwood Smokehouse will open today, and the Golden Peak Grill and Two Elk will open Saturday.

    A winter storm warning will be in effect for the area through 6 pm Saturday.? The National Weather Service is calling for 1 to 2 feet of additional snow.? Dust off those skis and boards and get out and enjoy the fresh powder!
