Fly fishing in the Vail Valley?is fantastic!? There are many excellent rivers to fish; Gore Creek, the Eagle River, and the Colorado River all produce good fish, and we have many great guides and fly shops that can help you find them.? Fly Fishing in the Vail Valley
The high altitude lakes and streams here in Eagle County also hold many great fish, especially cut-throats, a beautiful native fish that Coloradoans love to catch.? Often the fish at the higher altitudes do not get fished as often, and are easier to catch.? Dry flies, wet flies, nymphs and streamers can all be successful depending on the time of year, or even the time of day.? If you’re feeling fit, its worth a short (or sometimes longer) hike into any of the East Vail hikes that lead to a lake.? (Booth Lake, Pitkin Lake etc.)? The fish will be cruising the shore just waiting to bite the end of your line!
Feel free to call or email anytime to learn more about the many fly fishing opportunites here in the Vail Valley.? I’m a beginner, but I absolutely love it!

This stunning Colorado ranch property is located in Eagle County, just minutes to Beaver Creek and Vail. With over 850 feet of Eagle River frontage and over 35 acres, this land is perfect for the fishing enthusiast!
My family and I went down to the property last week and we had a blast! Earlier in the day we tubed down the river and ended at the ranch. My cousins fished and caught 5 trout (which was really neat to see, especially because they are from Illinois and had never really fly fished before). We played horse shoes for hours down by the river which was so fun. We grilled on the BBQ and made delicious steak. And the setting is unreal, from the rushing sound of the Eagle River to the surrounding Colorado vistas, to the pristine and untouched land, it was a wonderful time!
If you are interested in Colorado ranch land or river property, it is worth going down and taking a tour. Please contact my mother, Suzi, at 970.376.5417 and she would love to show you the land.
