There are many great restaurants in the Vail Valley and I had the opportunity to try one of Vail's newest restaurants, "Flame".  Located in the Four Seasons Resort Vail, "Flame" is an upscale contemporary mountain steakhouse.  For starters, the French Onion Soup and heirloom tomato salad with candied kumquats, basil pesto with aged balsamic, champagen vinaigrette are excellent. For the main course the 12 oz dry-aged bison ribeye melts in your mouth especially with one of the six sauces which are house made and the Ricotta Stuffed Bison Meatballs are one of the house specialities.  Don't forget to order sides.  One of the standouts was the white cheddar and jalapeno Mac and Cheese.  "Out of Bounds" is the private dining room which features a large fireplace and a huge wine rack.  The wine lists consists of over 200 different labels from around the world and over 30 wines by the glass.  You may visit the website for a full menu:  www.fourseasons.com/vail/dining/flame.

 

While Eagle County saw over $124 million in real estate sales, Lionshead Vail's numbers were not as impressive. 

One sale in Lionshead at the Ritz Carlton Residences put Lionshead at just 2% of the county's total dollar volume.  Thank goodness for the Ritz!

This Ritz Residence sale was a 2,107 sq ft 2 bedroom + den, 3 bath residence overlooking the pool that went for just under $3 million. 

Even the Ritz Carlton Residences is feeling the pinch in the market.  They're offering discounts and incentives to jump in now while Ever Vail is starting to move through the planning stages with Town of Vail.  And unlike some Ritz Residences, there are no owner usage fees at this one.
