We finally have some amazing snow here in Vail. The season has officially begun and we are so happy to have the Valley covered in our favorite fluffy white stuff! The mid mountain base is at 35 inches and we have had 15 new inches fall in the last seven days.

4,437 of 5,289 skiable acres are open and 27 of 31 lifts are running. China Bowl, Siberia Bowl, Sun Down Bowl, Sun Up Bowl, and Blue Sky Basin are all open, gorgeous, and ready to be skied!

We are expecting more snow this week so get ready and head to Vail for the most amazing snow experience of your life!

December saw 7 sales of over $6 million including 3 properties purchased by 1 person for over $10 million each.  Wow – with over $162 million in sales, December had Eagle County's highest sales volume for the entire year. 

One of the seven sales of over $6 million was in Lionshead at the Tower Residences at Lion Square Lodge which is the only condo property in Lionshead that is ski in ski out.  

The 4,994 sq ft penthouse with family room/office and game room takes up the entire 5th and 6th floors of the new Tower Residences in the redeveloped Lion Square North Building.  Absolutely stunning!

Arrowhead, home of the Country Club of the Rockies, offers a huge variety of homes priced between one million and two million dollars, all of which are minutes from the ski slopes at Arrowhead with easy access to Bachelor Gulch and Beaver Creek. Minturn Townehomes


The Minturn Towmhomes are located just behind Minturn's world famous Saloon, and anyone walking from the Minturn Mile passes right by them.  Built in phases starting in 2004, these spacious and conveniently located residences were origianlly purchased by locals and second homeowners alike.  

The prices ran up significantly in the boom years, some selling for over $700,000 and $800,000.  Recently however, a couple have sold at significant savings.   Minturn Townhome, 112 Taylor Ave sold for $392,500 for about 1591 square feet in May 2010. Palmer Hoyt skis fresh powder Sunday morning in Vail on a reported eight inches of fresh snow.

Mackenzie Hanna finds plenty of new snow on Beaver Creek's Larkspur Bowl. Beaver Creek reported 9 new inches on Sunday morning which allowed the resort to open more terrain (a total of 1,277 acres.)
