I hope you all had a wonderful christmas! if you are wondering what the best way to dispose of your christmas tree and/or lights, there are several options available in the valley. Both Vail and avon will provide curbside collection of christmas trees through the date of Jan. 31. If yoru are a resident of gypsum you may take your christmas tree to Gypsum Sports Complex parking lot. Both the town of Eagle and the town of Minturn will host a christmas tree bonfire on Jan. 6. One will be hosted at the eagle lions club and the other will be hosted at Little Beach Park.
Also, Holy Cross Energy consumers can receive up to $100 in rebates for recycling working incandescent holiday lights. You may receive a $2 rebate per strand if you separate strings and drop them off during regular business hours at one of the three Holy Cross locations in Avon, Gypsum or Glenwood Springs, or at the town of Gypsum Community Development Office by Jan. 15.
