Skied Thursday.  Snow was great.  Stayed on fresh and one day groomers.  Snow started at 7:30 am this morning, Saturday, and already we’ve had 5 or 6 inches.  I’m working in the office today but I’m planning to get on the slopes again tomorrow.  When I walked from the parking structure to the office this morning, I was regretting that the streets are free of snow because of the underground melt.  Just doesn’t look right, but it is a lot easier to walk with your ski boots on without slipping I guess.  I recently checked into buying a parking space practically on the slopes which included a great locker for ski gear, but it was being sold “AS IS” and “WITH ASSUMPTION OF ALL RISKS”.  What’s with that?  Are they expecting it to cave in because of snow load or fill up with water from an underground river or whatever???  It’s a pretty new structure.  I was spooked and found a CD doing 2 percent for new money.  Not much return these days but I guess I’m glad I didn’t put it in stocks since the market just dropped over 2500 points in a few days.  Prices in the Village for real estate went up dramatically in 2017 and now it is filtering out to outlying areas on the bus route.  Pretty soon if this keeps up we will outstrip prices reached in 2007.  If you enjoy Vail, summer and winter, and plan to be here, it is a good plan to buy property here.  It’s not what I would call a traditional investment that pays for itself over 20 years from rentals so you need a pretty strong nut of discretional wealth to do it or steady high income.  Still snowing, GREAT.  It[s a beautiful day in Colorado, Bob
