I have seen a lot of homes in the Vail Valley. Being born and raised in Vail, and having a mother who is an iconic real estate agent in the Valley, I have toured hundreds of residences over the last two decades. But to be fair, I LOVE homes and real estate. I love how they are a beautiful illustration of one’s life. I love seeing where people spend their time (and money)… Often times you see the heart of one’s home in their kitchens, other times in their master suites, and sometimes even in their game rooms.
There are many homes in the Valley that have captured my awe, but 34 Whiskey Ridge in Lake Creek is simply my favorite. And this incredible home is shockingly on the market for sale.
When you drive up to 34 Whiskey the glass walls of the estate reach to the blue sky and the stacked stone feels like you have arrived at a castle in the mountains. And when you enter the home your breath is taken away by the soaring ceilings, glass walls, and dramatic New York range staring you in the face. The formal dining room yearns for a party, the gourmet kitchen is so clean sleek you would have no idea that it is a chef’s dream, and the living room is deliciously inviting and warm.
To enter the private master wing, you must walk over one of the homes glass bridges. Once over the bridge you have arrived at a heavenly oasis. The spa bathroom is incredible: the gorgeous shower with a slab of stone that is stunning. The stand-alone bathtub sits against a 2-way fireplace overlooking the Colorado mountains. A quiet stone patio, large closet with endless built-ins for every piece you own, and soaring slabs of glass are just the beginning. The lower level of the suite offers a sanctuary room perfect for diving into a good book, practicing yoga, or simply retreating.
As I sit here and write I have realized that no words can describe this home. You must simply experience it to understand its perfection.
