The countdown is on to the 1st annual Winter Teva Mountain Games that begin this Friday, Feb. 10th though Feb. 12th. Both professional and amateur athletes will be on Vail Mountain competing in adventure sports as well as events celebrating music and the arts. Competitions include: mixed climbing, mountain, big air, dual slalom biking, Nordic and telemark skiing, ski mountaineering and snowshoe racing. Athletes compete for a whopping $60,000 in prize money. Maybe the most highly anticipated competition is the one-day vertical challenge in Vail’s Back Bowls.
Along with watching the extreme athletes compete, enjoy free concerts, films, photo competition, demo events and other fun activities.
