I recently joined the Eagle Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited, a non profit dedicated “To protect, conserve, and restore Colorado’s coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.” I consider myself a novice to intermediate fly fisherman, with much still to learn. I have also realized fly fishing is becoming a passion for me and wanted to get involved in improving and perserving the amazing fishing opportunities we have here in the Vail Valley.
Never before had I seen a fishing movie, but I was blown away with how cool it was when I saw the Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) at the end of March here in Edwards. Fish porn is how many would describe it, and it was very well received by the large crowd in attendance, evidenced by all the oohs and aahs throughtout the clips.
I am also excited by the large and committed group of people that enjoy fishing as a way of life and as a way to connect with our natural environment.
