Vail Colorado has always been viewed as an amazing culinary enclave in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, and it continues to impress.? There are many great restaurants in Vail, and here are a few of my favorites.? Each has something to offer, from fine dining, to a more relaxed experience.
Larkspur Restaurant😕 (970)754-8050
Located at the base of Gold Peak, this upscale restaurant is quite casual during lunch, as hundreds of hungry skiers descend to devour their famous Larkburger, amongst other tasty treats.??A favorite of both locals and vacationers, the evening experience is a?quite refined, and be sure to consult w/ their sommelier?if wine is your thing.? A larger space than many in the valley, Larkspur is well suited for?bigger groups; we had our rehersal dinner here and it was exceptional!
Russell’s Restaurant & Bar: (970)476-6700
Russell’s continues to deliver quality steaks and seafood in a comfortable, unpretentious environment.? With a somewhat?traditional steakhouse??menu (a compliment in my book) that hasn’t changed much since I’ve lived here,?this restaurant?welcomes you to Vail?Village, as would an old friend, just on your left as you cross the covered bridge.? The laidback feel with excellent food?and friendly staff is a big?reason I dine here.? Be sure to try the au-gratin potatoes; one or two for the table will be plenty!!
La Tour: (970)476-6930
A great choice for a special evening out, or to simply enjoy an intimate space with excellent contemporary French food.? Located across?Meadow Drive?from the Vail Village parking structure, La Tour welcomes friends and visitors, and treats all as family.? Chef Paul Ferzacca has created an inviting atmosphere, if not somewhat crowded, to match his inspired cuisine.? Worth calling ahead as it books up!
