Minturn | LAND USE AND SUBDIVISION REGULATION UPDATE PROJECT

Minturn, nestled in the picturesque Vail Valley, is gearing up for a transformative phase in its development journey. With a focus on updating its land use, development, and subdivision regulations, the town aims to propel itself forward in alignment with the recently adopted 2023 Minturn Community Plan. This comprehensive plan is designed to guide Minturn’s land use and development decisions for the next decade or more.

As part of this initiative, Minturn will be hosting a series of public open houses, offering community members a platform to voice their opinions, concerns, and aspirations regarding the town’s growth and development. These gatherings will serve as invaluable opportunities for residents to engage directly with town officials and planners, ensuring that their voices are heard and their perspectives considered.

What to Expect at the Open Houses:

During these open houses, participants will have the chance to weigh in on various aspects of Minturn’s physical landscape and future direction. Key topics for discussion include:

  • Identifying the unique characteristics of different areas and neighborhoods within Minturn.
  • Expressing preferences for physical changes they would like to see in the future, as well as those they wish to avoid.
  • Offering additional insights and suggestions to inform the town’s efforts in updating local land use regulations.

Open House Schedule:

Mark your calendars for these upcoming open house dates:

  • Open House #1: Monday, March 11, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
    • Areas to be discussed: Dowd Junction, Grouse Creek/Meadow Mountain Business Park, Taylor Avenue/Minturn North, 100 Block
  • Open House #2: Thursday, March 14, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
    • Areas to be discussed: Pine and Boulder Street, Main Street 200-600 Block, River lots 200-600 Block, Martin Creek including 700 Block
  • Open House #3: Thursday, March 21, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
    • Areas to be discussed: 800-1200 Block West Side of Main Street, 800-1200 Block East Side of Main Street, Two Elk Estates and Cross Creek, and Maloit Park
