Will we be getting more daily flights at the Eagle County Regional Airport?? The Eagle County Regional Airport is part of our lifeblood here in the Central Rocky Mountains, and the new CRJ700 regional jet may make more flights a reality.? A recent test flight into the newly lengthened airport runway went well and that likely means good news for the Vail Valley.
The CRJ700, built by Bombardier, is a new approx. 70 seat jet that may help expand service into smaller airports from the airlines’?larger hubs.? And the new jets are a nicer aircraft for passengers when compared to the turbo-props that many guests are used to arriving in.
Our family?loves the Eagle County Regional Airport and are very excited at the prospect of more flight options!!? As I’m sure our out-of-town guests?are too.? The convenience of using?our local airport is HUGE.? The flights are often?at comparable?prices to those? into/out of Denver, the parking is FREE, and you’re that much closer to your destination w/ no mountain passes to drive over.
Keep you eyes out for more updates; United is planning on using these jets this winter!
