The Town of Winter Park has a brand new music venue ready for the summer of 2009.? Hideaway Park ?is going to be one of the most welcoming venues for mid-size events in Colorado. ?Concert goers will enjoy easy access to local shopping, dining and of course the concert area.? The gentle slope of Hideaway Park is completely covered with sod and the newly planted trees will? make for a cool place to settle in for a day of music.
There will be music all over the town of Winter Park starting Friday night with the pre-festival party at Smokin? Moe?s and Cooper Creek Square. ?That line up will include anyone who is in town including, Tab Benoit starting it off.? After the concert on Saturday, there will be numerous evening blues shows around town in many of the local restaurants and bars. ??

As a blues enthusiast myself I can honestly say that The?Grand County Blues Society hosted such a good time last year for the performers and audience that I and everyone I?ve spoken to, who was there, noticed a distinct and week-long spiritual high. ?Bob Margolin credited not only a confluence of the thin air, hospitality, gorgeous mountains, and friendly folks but the blues music itself. ?Blues music lovers all know that performing and listening to blues music is the cure for blues. ?It?s a sensual pleasure that can give us relief even in real tough times. ?Blues music is refreshing, recharging, and healing. ?Like hope.
