How Long Have You Lived in North Bay?
I have lived in the north bay for 22 years. I moved here from the east coast to start a family with my husband James. Tim was born and raised here in Sonoma County with deep roots in both Marin and Sonoma Counties.
What Do You Love Most About Living in the North Bay?
I love the food, arts and lifestyle culture that is here. It is very beautiful and offers many different types of entertainment and opportunities.
Favorite Weekend Activity
Shopping all the small towns and enjoying the amazing food. I also love day trips to the coast with a stop at Nick’s Cove in Tomales Bay.
A few Of Your Favorite Things
I love the town of Calistoga. It has everything: great food, wine and resort style living. One of my favorite resorts is Solage in Calistoga. It has the most relaxing day spa, stunning pool area with great food. I also love an afternoon at Scribe Winery, delicious wine and lunch with a view.
Top 5 Tips For Those Traveling To The North Bay
1. Make sure to visit the coast line, not just wine country.
2. The arts and music scene is spectacular. Whether seeing a concert at Green Music Center at Sonoma State, the Mystic Theatre in Petaluma, Little Saint in Healdsburg or a concert at the wineries or breweries- you will find your genre of music and exceptional talent.
3. The culinary scene throughout Sonoma County is incredible. Some of the newest spots we are excited about are Table Culture Provisions in Petaluma, Valley Swim Club in Sonoma, & Molti Amici in Healdsburg.
4. Every corner of the North Bay is riddled with ways to get grounded in nature. Hot Springs in Geyserville, Lake Sonoma for boating, camping in the Russian River, mountain biking & hiking at Helen Putnam, and enjoying the salt spray of Dillon Beach or any smaller beach in Bodega Bay.
5. Endless wineries, breweries and distilleries can be found through out Sonoma County. Some of our favorites are Scribe Winery, Hanson of Sonoma Distillery, & Hen House Brewing Company.
Advice For Someone Relocating To The North Bay
Explore all the different towns. Each one has so much to offer and they all differ from one another.
What Is Most Appealing To Tourists and Locals
I think the different towns are the most appealing to tourists and locals. Whether it’s a drive to the coast, apple picking in Sebastopol or wine tasting, each town has its own soul and adventures.
Tell Us A Local Secret!
The area that our office is located in Petaluma, Foundry Wharf Area, has a ton of new artisans at the collective called The Water Shed. Stellino Pronto in Petaluma is the best spot for a cappuccino and pastry. I also love a stop at the Dry Creek Market for their Turney Cranberry or their Curry Chicken Salad.
