While Vail is famous for its snow sports, it?s also widely known for its summer activities.? The Vail Farmers’ Market & Art Show focuses on farm and food products and the Market attracts many of the best vendors in Colorado. The Vail Farmers’ Market consists of more than one hundred tents each week, multiple entertainment venues and attracts over 120,000 visitors. Farmers arrive early every Sunday with refrigerated trucks loaded with freshly picked conventional and organic fruits and vegetables. Specialty vendors? work from colorful tents selling freshly made breads, pastries, cheeses, salsas and ice cream. Others offer delightful selections of pastas, jams, chocolate sauces, olive oils, vinegars, maple syrup, soaps, dog treats, Colorado wines, jerky, spices, and more. Selections change weekly.
Linger in the artist & artisan section for mementos of Vail or visit some of the many fine shops and galleries nearby. Food vendors will tickle your palate with crepes, schnitzel sandwiches, salads, cheesesteaks, bbq, turkey legs, brats, gyros, burgers, hot dogs, roasted nuts, lemonade, coffee drinks and the list goes on. Live entertainment features Jazz @ the Market and guest appearances by popular regional groups. Local non-profits provide information and raffle tickets for interesting prizes.?
