Vail Opening Day & Apres Ski

Vail Mountain opens for the season on Friday, November 10th, 2023.

Join in on the fun to kick off the 23/24 season with DJs spinning tunes at both Lionshead and Vail Village base areas as well as strudel, coffee, cocoa and prizing for the early birds at Gondola One. Lifts spin at 9AM with music and all the other goodies kicking off at 8AM.

10TH MOUNTAIN WHISKEY

After you are done getting your first laps of the season, meet at Express Lift for our first après of the season with 10th Mountain Whiskey. Sampling will begin at 1PM, running all afternoon with more tunes courtesy of DJ Pippen. Stop by to try your favorite 10th Mountain Spirit, grab a warm pretzel and cold beverage.

ROOT & FLOWER

This Vail wine bar has more than 40 pours by the glass, as well as craft cocktails, select draft beers, and a menu ideal for those looking for quality over quantity.

PEPI’S

Pepi’s plucked from the Alps, a classic Austrian pub and guesthouse, home to one of Vail’s original settlers Pepi Gramschammer. Pepi’s often has a musician playing après ski in the cozy pub. Its convivial and cozy. Lunch or an aperitif on their patio is a treat on warm ski days too.

REMEDY BAR AT FOUR SEASONS

Remedy Bar at Four Seasons Vail is a chic second floor atrium bar – just the remedy if you want a craft cocktail, in a swank setting. The outdoor fire tables overlook the Four Seasons pool and spa, offering a fab view of Lindsey’s Run and Vail’s front side. They also serve up their “The Famous Haut Chocolat”, this drink features house-made marshmallow, chocolate tuile and Chantilly crème. Live music in the early eve is fantastic here too.

FALL LINE KITCHEN & COCKTAILS

Fall Line Kitchen & Cocktails at Vail is a chic bistro, bar and restaurant with a commanding view of Bridge Street, across from Pepi’s. For lunch, après ski, or dinner, choose from oysters, mussels, lamb gyros to Wagyu beef. Great menu, gorgeous locale, and gregarious barkeeps.
