The Vail Valley’s annual Snowball Music Festival will return to Nottingham Lake on March 2nd with a lineup that will surely please and excite. Since November 30th, festival organizers have been releasing two performer’s names each week via Twitter and Facebook.
Three big headliners released this far include: New York Indie rockers TV on the Radio, English Dubstep DJ Rusko and Bassnectar, and Dale Earnheart Jr. Jr., an American Indie pop band from Detroit. Other bands include: Ghostland Observatory, Big Boy, Deer Tick, and the Head and the Heart. There are 58 confirmed performers and 10-12 more “hanging in the balance,” according to the festival’s main talent buyer, Latane Hughes.
This year there will be a fourth stage that will be dedicated to live music with instrumentation and no electronics. “We have a lot more acts that can be considered ‘live’ – bluegrass, jam bands, rock n roll, indie music” says Hughes.
