New businesses are opening in Vail Village and sales were strong during the holiday season. There are at least eight new businesses open along Meadow Drive, including six new stores in the Shops at Solaris Plaza. High end seems to be the theme amoung the Vail Village’s new retail stores, which is exciting to see. We have enough T-shirts shops in the Village. The Cashmere and Coco Boutiques are located over Bridge Street along with a store called The Great Put-On located in the old Golden Bear location. The Great Put-On carries both men and women’s clothing, including designer fashion from Europe and the United States. Icebreaker is a new store in Solaris, which sells fine Merino wool baselayers and other clothing. I have to say, this is my favorite store! The chef of Sweet Basil has opened a new rustic style restaurant called Mountain Standard. It’s located just below Sweet Basil facing Gore Creek. This new restaurant is getting great reviews.
Vail Village retail is finally making a come back and providing guests what they expect. Take your time walking through the Vail Village and enjoy the all the new shops and restaurants in town.
